TENMILE: The second in a series of “Ladies Ride” nights is scheduled for 4 p.m. March 29 at Cathey Cutting Horses, 1548 Tenmile Valley Rd.
The night starts with a presentation by Carey Cathey on basic horsemanship.
Topics include identifying what riders want to achieve with their horses and tuning up for the upcoming show season. Cathey offers tips and advice on how to improve riding skills and relationships between horses and riders. Advice from experienced barrel racers will be available as well.
Beginners are welcome, but horses are limited, so call ahead of time to reserve a spot.
Refreshments will be served with the presentation.
Subjects for discussion at future ride nights are barrel racing, roping and Western pleasure riding.
Cost is $25 per person with a portion of proceeds going to Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center.
