Playing with Steve Ripley of Roseburg and using a seven iron, I made a hole in one on Aug. 18, 1998, on hole number 8 at the Myrtle Creek Golf Course.
The hole is a par 3, 122-yard hole. The ball went in on the fly, making a dent in the back of the cup. This was the eighth hole in one at this course and there have been many more since.
The names and accomplishments are put on brass plates and mounted on a board in the pro shop.
