WINCHESTER: Beginning April 3, the Art Gallery at Umpqua Community College, 1140 College Rd., will feature the work of Botanical Illustrator Linda Ann Vorobik.

Dr. Vorobik will also lead a workshop from 9:30 to 4 p.m. April 19 and 20 at the Whipple Fine Art Building.

The class is limited to 20 participants and will focus on the basics of drawing plants, demonstrations and lectures to introduce participants to drawing skills, parts of the plant and what botanical illustration really is.

All skill levels are welcome.

Cost is $125 or $100 for UCC students and Umpqua Valley Arts Association members. Register in advance.
