Print Comment
The venue for former President Bill Clinton's speech Sunday afternoon in Medford has been changed to accommodate a larger crowd.

Clinton, stumping for his wife, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, will now appear at North Medford High School, 1900 Keene Way Dr. The start time will remain 4:30 p.m.

Clinton was originally scheduled to speak at Hedrick Middle School. However, his appearance was moved to the larger high school after organizers received an overwhelming number of requests for seats.

Tickets are not required. People wishing to attend Clinton's "Solutions for America" speech are asked to RSVP online at : http://www.hillaryclinton.com/medford.

Clinton's visit comes one week after Hillary Clinton's Democratic opponent, U.S. Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois, addressed crowds in Portland, Salem, Eugene and Medford.

Bill Clinton will appear Monday in Portland, Salem and Bend. He will speak on solutions for the economy during a 9:30 a.m. appearance at Oregon Health Sciences University, followed by an 11 a.m. gathering at a senior center, also in Portland.

At 1:30 p.m., Clinton will appear at Chemeketa Community College in Salem. He will end his Oregon tour with a 5 p.m. speech at Bend Senior High School.

Oregon has 51 delegates up for grabs at the May 20 primary. Oregon also has 12 super delegates spread among state and federal elected officials, along with one other delegate to be selected at the state Democratic convention.

Obama leads in the delegate count but does not have enough yet to wrap up the Democratic nomination.

The winner will face John McCain, the presumed Republican nominee.
