Dance for drug prevention

ROSEBURG: TIPS, Inc. is sponsoring a Dance for Teens Showcase at 7 p.m. Saturday in Roseburg High School’s Rose Theatre, 400 W. Harvard.

The nonprofit group is dedicated to assisting youth in avoiding or overcoming drug and alcohol addiction.

A dance workshop will take place during the day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will include instruction on beginning, intermediate and advance hip-hop, jazz and lyric/contemporary dance for children and teens 8 and older.

The dances will be presented later that night for an audience. The theme is “Let’s Keep Our Children Drug Free.”

Registration is required for the workshop and is open to the public.

The cost for the show is $10.
