The Indians’ girls soccer team lost 1-0 after an own goal against the Ashland Grizzlies Saturday in a non-league match at Finlay Field.

Roseburg head coach Adam Blue said Ashland scored when freshman Brooke Strawn, who was defending, was pushed into the net during a corner kick in the 11th minute of the first half.

“What was nice was the girls realized that there wasn’t much they could do there,” Blue said. “They were still a little upset.”
